Safety Health Management Policy

YK Steel prioritizes the safety and health of all workers in its management practices. All executives, employees, and stakeholders actively promote a safety culture that respects individuals and fosters effective safety and health management.


  1. Establish a safety and health management system that prioritizes safety and security, continuously improving in response to internal and external changes.
  2. Proactively identify and address potential hazards to continuously enhance safety and health performance, preventing major industrial accidents and ensuring a safe workplace.
  3. Increase safety and health awareness among employees through regular training and standardization, fostering a shared understanding of the management system.
  4. Set and strictly adhere to safety and health standards based on international conventions and national laws.
  5. Communicate the safety and health management policy to all employees and stakeholders, encouraging participation to strengthen the safety cooperation system.
  6. Regularly assess the implementation of goals and activity plans for the safety and health management policy, fostering a safety culture through voluntary employee participation.

  • SF1054 (Behaviour-based safety management): On-site safety monitoring and coaching with supervisor participation, plus weekly innovation system registration
  • SGR(Safety Golden Rules): Operation of 8 safety rules that must be followed within YK Steel
  • Safety analysis meeting/VFL (field encouragement activity): Management and supervisors participate in sharing safety issues and encouragement activities on-site once a month
  • Health promotion activities: Health promotion (in-body measurement, basic physical fitness measurement, yoga classes, health promotion events) and health management
  • Risk assessment: Continuous risk factor improvement activities through computerization of risk assessment system

Safety Health Win-Win Cooperation Activities

  • Safety Health Committee : Transferring YK Steel's knowledge, skills, and experience related to safety and health to partner companies and gathering feedback.
  • Sharing Safety Health Management Systems : Collaborating with different companies to share their safety management systems, learn the best practices, and apply them, thereby reducing workplace hazards and creating a safer work environment.
  • Risk Assessment and Response Collaboration : Conducting risk assessments with various companies through a risk assessment system, sharing the results to more effectively manage and respond to potential hazards in each workplace.
  • Sharing Accident Information and Countermeasures : Sharing information about accidents, analyzing causes, and discussing preventive measures to help all partner companies avoid similar issues.
  • Employee Health Promotion Programs : Planning and implementing various health promotion programs, such as stress management, smoking cessation campaigns, and exercise programs, to enhance overall health and improve the work environment.

Process Safety Management

  • Prepare and implement a process safety report to prevent major industrial accidents like fires, explosions, and leaks.
  • Operate 12 practical tasks for Process Safety Management (PSM).
